2020-2021 Program GuideFACEBOOK
Club Description
The Club was established in 1948 and adopted Canyon Camera Club as our name in 1954. Canyon was taken from Letchworth Park, often called the "Grand Canyon of the East" and our logo depicts the former train trestle (1875-2018) over the upper falls in the park.
We welcome photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. Members work together to improve their photographic skills, making use of informative programs, field trips, informal critiques, and sharing techniques. Join us and meet new friends who share a common interest in photography.
The club provides annual print shows at: the St. John’s Home in Rochester; the Mt. Morris Dam Visitor Center, and Letchworth Park. We also participate in the rotating galleries of the Arts Council for Wyoming County and have partnered with the Army Corps of Engineers to offer Photographer’s Dream Day for seventeen consecutive years at the Mt. Morris Dam & Recreation Area
The Club normally meets on the first and/or third Wednesday of each month at 7 PM, September through May, at the Arts Council for Wyoming County, located at 31 S. Main Street, Perry, NY. However, because of COVID-19, meetings will be held remotely in fall 2020 and perhaps also in spring 2021. Check for VIRTUAL schedule. Guests are welcome to attend all meetings, but only members can enter competitions.
